Cheryl Meyer
6 Movies Sold, 9 TV Shows
Cheryl Meyer is a film and television writer, crafting bold, genre-driven stories that captivate audiences. Over the past four years, she has had three feature films produced, sold another and was commissioned to adapt a children's horror book series, The Popchuck Chronicles, into 2 screenplays for a production company. As the co-writer of the Hulu Original CARVED—which soared to #1 internationally on the Hulu/Disney+ platform following its October 2024 release—Cheryl has solidified her place in the world of horror storytelling. CARVED took home top honors at Nightmares Film Festival and was an Official Selection at Screamfest and the VHS Vancouver Horror Show. Notably, she had two feature films screening at VHS simultaneously, with her dystopian horror ALL THE LOST ONES winning Best Narrative Feature Film and Best Writing. Her debut feature, THE LAST MARK, was a TIFF Industry Select in 2021, while her horror screenplay INVALID—currently in development—was featured on the Wscripted Cannes Screenplay List (2022). She is an alum of prestigious labs including TIFF Talent Lab, Athena Film Festival, SeriesFest Pitch-a-Thon, Stowe Story Lab, and Diversity Showrunner Bootcamp. In 2024, she was named one of Playback’s 10 to Watch. She's written on nine TV shows for Amazon, CBBC, and animated shows for Nickelodeon, Disney and Canadian networks. Co-EP of Netflix's Murderville, Superstore, Community
Jack Kukoda is the Co-Executive Producer on Netflix's Murderville starring Will Arnett. He has also written on NBC's Superstore, FX's Wilfred, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim's China, IL, Adult Swim's Mr. Pickles, and NBC's Community. He wrote on Movie 43 and also was a writer on Onion SportsDome and the Onion News Network.

Marilyn Friedman

Marilyn is a freelance journalist and the Co-Founder of Writing Pad, an award-winning creative writing school whose instructors are writers from the top TV shows and publications and has existed in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Online since 2005. Her essays, stories, and op-ed’s have been published in the NY Times (1), NY Times (2), Salon.com (1), Salon.com (2), Narratively, The Frisky, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She is currently working on a pilot and a memoir about her experiences as a swing dancer. She has taught writing for fifteen years, including classes at Pixar, Walt Disney Studios, The Writing Salon, and the Southern California Writers Conference. Her poetry has been published in Pearl, Squaw Valley Review, California Quarterly, Karamu, and The Great American Poetry Show and has written articles on love and dating for Match.com. Marilyn has a BA in English and Writing from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and a Master’s Degree from Boston University. MORE

Nina Fiore
(Co-EP, The Handmaid’s Tale, 4 pilots)
Nina Fiore is an Emmy-nominated writer and Co-EP on Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale (all seasons) where she collaborates with writing partner, John Herrera. Nina and John wrote on Bloom, a new show for Netflix that will be coming soon. She and John have also worked on USA’s The Purge, Syfy’s Nightflyers, Blood Drive, Alphas, and Eureka. Additionally, Nina and John have sold their pilots Players and Dante’s Inferno (the latter co-written with Ethan Reiff & Cyrus Voris) to CW and Freeform, respectively, and an adaptation of Melissa Lenhardt’s genre-bending, feminist western novel, Heresy, with MGM. Nina also co-wrote the movie Nancy Drew and The Hidden Staircase for Warner Brothers and is currently adapting a true-life feature story about the latter days of the Bosnian-Serb conflict of the 1990’s. Before becoming a TV writer, Nina was a script coordinator and writer’s assistant on Eureka, Sleeper Cell, The L Word. Born in the Bronx to a Puerto Rican mother and a Sicilian father, Nina spent most of her formative years surrounded by an excess of personality. MORE
