Then this Online Short/Webisode Workshop is for you! Successful actor and writer, Taylor Orci (BITCHY RESTING FACE, VIDA, 6 Scripts) will show you how to develop the next breakout web series or short and make it go viral. Through fun, in-class writing prompts, you’ll tease out a killer idea and brainstorm the perfect segment and develop compelling characters. Taylor will cover the ins and outs of crafting a video for the web, Tik Tok or Instagram. They’ll even give you tips for maximizing views that will keep your throngs of fans clamoring for more. By the end of the class, you’ll have generated some fresh ideas for heightening the comedy or drama in your story. You will leave with the confidence to create a stand-out video that could be an irresistible writing or acting sample or maybe the next hit show on HBO.

Taylor Orci (they/them) is a non-binary Latinx journalist-turned TV writer. Most recently they adapted and wrote 5 pilots for original projects for TV for Netflix, Dreamworks and Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and YouTube Premium. They were also on the writing staff of VIDA for Starz and the Emmy-nominated KIPO for Netflix. During the pandemic, they wrote a live action comedy feature for New Line Cinema. Taylor wrote and created the viral video, "Bitchy Resting Face," which got the phrase in the dictionary. Their professional career started as a journalist with NPR. They’ve written features for McSweeney’s, Cosmopolitan, The Atlantic, and New York Magazine. MORE
