Let successful TV writer Ashley Skidmore (Co-EP, Netflix’s GLAMOROUS, YOUNGER, THE BOLD TYPE, 5 Pilots) help you transform your brilliant premise into a page-turning script! In this 5-week Online TV Drama Pilot Class, you’ll learn how to craft a great logline, structure a compelling story, plan a season arc that keeps the audience hooked, and break your pilot story just like they do in the writers’ room.

younger Ashley will show you how to dramatize and sprinkle in the right amount of plot, character and story for a one-hour show. Through in-class workshopping and pitching, you’ll clarify your tone, voice and world. By the end of this class, you will have created a beat sheet for an irresistible TV Drama pilot.

After studying with us, our alums have landed 492 staff writing positions on shows including FARGO, NOBODY WANTS THIS and A MAN ON THE INSIDE and won 197 fellowships/staffing program spots at organizations including Disney, WB, Paramount.

Note: If you’ve never taken a TV writing class before, we strongly recommend you take TV Structure for Pilot Writing in addition to this class. However, you don’t have to take it before starting this class.

Ashley Skidmore

Co-EP, Glamorous (Netflix), Younger, The Bold Type, 4 Pilots

Ashley Skidmore most recently was a Co-EP on Netflix's Glamorous starring Kim Cattrall, Graham Parkhurst and Miss Benny, Executive Produced by Damon Wayans Jr. She also wrote on on all seven seasons of TV Land's critical darling YOUNGER created by Darren Star, along with 16 episodes of Freeform's THE BOLD TYPE. Currently Ashley is developing several projects. Previously she's sold pilots to MTV, Amazon, New Form Digital, and wrote the short film Feminist Pigs. She is a UCB alum and Tisch School of the Arts grad. MORE
