Sylvia Batey Alcalá

Sylvia Batey Alcalá is a writer-producer on Mike Schur's acclaimed mystery comedy, A MAN ON THE INSIDE (Netflix), most recently serving as a Consulting Producer for season two. Sylvia is also a Supervising Producer on Amazon's upcoming romance EVERY YEAR AFTER. She has previously written for the family comedy PRIMO (Amazon), as well as the dramas LEGACIES (CW), ORDINARY JOE (NBC) and FIELD OF DREAMS (UTV). Her romantic traumedy pilot, NEXT OF KIN, sold to WB in a competitive situation. She has worked across media as a writer-director-actor-hyphen enthusiast, with films and a digital series that have played Oscar-qualifying festivals and collected numerous accolades. Prior to her career as a writer, she worked in Warner Bros TV Main Production. Sylvia is an alum of the Sundance Episodic Lab and the Black List/WIF Feature Residency.
