Jennifer Chen Tran is a literary agent at Glass Literary Management who is a nonfiction, memoir and fiction expert. With close to 15 years of experience in the publishing industry, Jennifer is passionate about nurturing and championing authors and their creative lives. She represents a wide range of talent, including journalists, physicians, entrepreneurs, thought-leaders, chefs, and graphic novelists. Her clients include: Christine Ha “The Blind Chef,” Pernille Soie (fitness coach and influencer), Thuy Pham (vegan chef from Portland). Former clients: Dierdre Wolownick Honnold (rock climber Alex Honnold’s mother and oldest woman to climb El Capitan), wildfire photojournalist Stuart Palley, and the 103 year-old mother of holistic medicine, Dr. Gladys McGarey. Prior to joining GLM, she was a literary agent at several top literary agencies and served as Of Counsel at The New Press. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Northeastern School of Law and a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis. Jennifer is an editorial agent who believes in the art of collaboration. She is a daughter of Taiwanese immigrants and is committed to amplifying voices from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, underrepresented, and marginalized communities. Her goal is to work in concert with authors to shape books that will have a lasting positive social impact on the world.
