Caroline Rugo

Caroline Rugo is a Program Coordinator at Rideback RISE, an artist incubator for mid-career POC screenwriters aimed at advancing racial equity. She is a writer and filmmaker from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She earned her BFA in film production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, with an emphasis on screenwriting. Amidst a robust career in development (with stints at Scott Rudin Productions, Netflix, and Nine Stories), Caroline has continued to hone her artistic craft. Her pilot EVERYTHING’S EMBARRASSING was a finalist for the NYU Production Lab’s Episodic Development Studio, and her feature DYING IS FINE was selected for the 2025 Sundance Producers' Lab. Her prose has been published in The Fugly Flaneur, Childs’ Play Magazine, and Odessa Collective.
