“Berkley is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He gives amazing feedback that's constructive. He's not afraid to point out glaring flaws but does so in a really kind way.”
“Berkley is a brilliant storyteller with a profound grasp on character. He helped cut out layer after layer of fat in order to distill the story to its core beats, while offering an endless supply of encouragement. I learned so much from listening to his brain pinpoint story issues while also providing multiple solutions with every note, all of which significantly improved my pilot. He's exactly what you hope for in a comedy mentor; warm, hilarious, and inspiring.”
“Berkley creates a warm environment where people feel encouraged but are still challenged to elevate their storytelling abilities to a professional level. I'm a huge fan of his ability to distill an idea to its base premise.”
“Berkley is an incredible teacher. He is kind and supportive of everyone in the class no matter their experience level. He pays very close attention to everyone's work and vision and gives notes that actually benefit the stories we are trying to tell. He isn't just giving notes for notes' sake or imposing his taste on our work - he really helped us refine our own ideas and reach our potential with our scripts based on our style and voice. I was able to fix so many issues with the structure of my pilot that I may never have been able to figure out on my own. He is truly my favorite writing teacher I've ever had and I would love to take his class again. My pilot is one thousand times stronger because of him and that's no exaggeration. ”
