It’s fellowship season again, a time when legions of aspiring TV Writers battle for a coveted spot in the Writer’s Rooms of ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox on the hottest new shows. Unfortunately the process is grueling (application, resume, personal statement, spec and original material samples, references, multiple elimination rounds, and endless interviews) and only a fraction of a percent are selected. What you need is your own personal Yoda to help you train.
In this two-week Online TV Writers Fellowship Bootcamp, Vicky Castro (ABC/Disney Fellow, THE GOLDBERGS) takes you through the process, finding your compelling personal story, and prepping you for the most grueling interviews of your life. By the end of the class, you will be ready to present the best you to the selection committee and break through the sound barrier. Fellowship spot not included.
After studying with us, our alums have landed 234 staff writing positions on shows including FARGO, PERRY MASON, AMERICAN BORN CHINESE, THE BROTHERS SUN, FRASIER and DAVE and won 158 fellowships/staffing program spots at organizations including Disney, NBCU, WB, Paramount & Disruptors.

Vicky Castro

Vicky Castro is a TV writer. She wrote on Sony/ABC's THE GOLDBERGS for two seasons. She was a 2020 Disney/ABC TV Program Writer. Before that, she was a Development Assistant at Montgomery Studios. Vicky became involved in The Second City and was a winner of the 2016 Outside the Box sketch competition. She also won a spot in Second City's Conservatory Program. She was a translator and international news PA for CNN Chile and worked in advertising at DigitasLBi, a global marketing and technology agency. She graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Journalism and International Studies. MORE
