Do you have a great idea for HBO’s next hit series? Let successful TV writer Evelyn Yves (THE PERFECT COUPLE, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN) help you transform your brilliant premise into a page-turning script! In this 5-week Online TV Drama Pilot Class, you’ll learn how to craft a great logline, structure a compelling story, plan a season arc that keeps the audience hooked, and break your pilot story just like they do in the writers’ room.
Evelyn will show you how to dramatize and sprinkle in the right amount of plot, character and story for a one-hour show. Through in-class workshopping and pitching, you’ll clarify your tone, voice and world. By the end of this class, you will have created a beat sheet for an irresistible TV Drama pilot.
After studying with us, our alums have landed 421 staff writing positions on shows including FARGO, PERRY MASON, AMERICAN BORN CHINESE, THE BROTHERS SUN, FRASIER and DAVE and won 193 fellowships/staffing program spots at organizations including Disney, NBCU, WB, Paramount & Disruptors.

Evelyn was a co-producer on Season 1 of the #1 Netflix series, THE PERECT COUPLE, starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Eve Hewson and Dakota Fanning – a murder mystery adapted from the Elin Hilderbrand novel. Previously, she wrote on HBO Max's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: ORIGINAL SIN, a horror/slasher reboot of the successful YA franchise. She has also written on a Disney+ project in development, OWN’s sexy primetime soap, THE KINGS OF NAPA and the CW’s musical dramedy, KATY KEENE, based on the popular Archie comic character and franchise.
