Do you have a great idea for HBO’s next hit series? Let successful TV writer Elizabeth Baxa (Story Editor, HBO’S PERRY MASON) help you transform your brilliant premise into a page-turning script! In this 5-week Online TV Drama Pilot Class, you’ll learn how to craft a great logline, structure a compelling story, plan a season arc that keeps the audience hooked, and break your pilot story just like they do in the writers’ room.
Elizabeth will show you how to dramatize and sprinkle in the right amount of plot, character and story for a one-hour show. Through in-class workshopping and pitching, you’ll clarify your tone, voice and world. By the end of this class, you will have created a beat sheet for an irresistible TV Drama pilot.

Story Editor, HBO'S PERRY MASON
Elizabeth was a staff writer on Season 2 of PERRY MASON (HBO) and a Story Editor on Season 3. She was a writers' room assistant on PERRY before she was hired as a staff writer, PLAYERS (Paramount+) and on two as-yet-unproduced drama series, one for Apple+ and Team Downey created by Adam Perlman (EP, BILLIONS) and one for Netflix and Upside Down Pictures created by Haley Z. Boston (BRAND NEW CHERRY FLAVOR). She's been hired to develop scripts and treatments for Netflix, Sony, Tremolo Productions and A-list talent. Elizabeth has an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA and a BA in English from the University of Virginia. She worked in independent film production and development before going back to school for writing.
