You have a killer beat sheet for your TV Pilot, but when you sit down to write, everything turns to mush: vague characters, huge data dumps, clunky dialogue, and scenes that go nowhere. If this sounds familiar, successful writer Des Moran (Co-EP, BEL-AIR, TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, 4 Scripts) can help. In this ten-week TV Draft Writing Workshop, you’ll get Des’s help crafting an amazing outline and writing scenes that have a complete beginning, middle, and end that pack a serious punch.
You’ll learn to how to open your pilot, capture the imagination of the reader, write with a clear voice, and introduce your main character like a pro. By the end of the class you should have major chunks of your pilot written and the confidence to finish it with flair. Emmy not included.

Pre-Requisite: Beat sheet of TV Comedy, or Dramedy, or Drama pilot finished in TV 1, TV Drama 1, TV Comedy 1, TV Pilot or TV Basic writing class at Writing Pad.

Des Moran is a Co-Executive Producer on Peacock’s BEL-AIR (S3 & S4) and Amazon's CRUEL INTENTIONS, as well as a Supervising Producer on Hulu and Hello Sunshine's Emmy-nominated adaptation of Cheryl Strayed's bestselling memoir, TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS, starring Kathryn Hahn. His episode, "The Nose" was honored at the 2023 Sentinel Awards for its depiction of grief and end of life issues. Previously, Des was a Producer on Peacock's reimagination of QUEER AS FOLK, and Co-Producer on Freeform's hit comedy GROWN-ISH (S3 & S4), where his episode on the Black Lives Matter movement received national coverage. Des started his career on NBC/Netflix's GOOD GIRLS (S1 & S2). Des has sold one half hour pilot and two hour-long pilots to 20th Television, MACRO, Blackmaled Productions, and 7th Sun Productions.
