In this three-hour Adaptation class, award-winning short story scribe and successful TV writer Corinne Stikeman (BIG DOOR PRIZE) will teach you the screenwriter’s toolset (visual storytelling, propulsive, character-driven writing, layered dialogue, compelling set pieces & solid spines) to bring your IP to the big or little screen! Through craft lectures, examples & in-class writing exercises you’ll learn dos and don’ts of re-envisioning your material for a different format while preserving the elements that your readers have grown to love. By the end, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what’s involved in transforming your opus into a blockbuster as well
as a clear process for breaking down your pages so you can move forward.
