mialobel_headshotMia Lobel is an award-winning independent producer, journalist, and educator. She’s worked for media outlets across the country, specializing in creating unique multimedia content for public radio stations, non-profit organizations, museums, and universities. Projects include Malcolm Gladwell’s Revisionist History, Slate’s Placemakers podcast, America Abroad – the monthly documentary radio program on foreign policy and international affairs, Distillations – an award-winning chemistry podcast, and the Wesleyan Storytelling Project. Mia is an adjunct professor at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and the founder of Freelance Café, a support, networking, and resource web site for independent media producers nationwide.
