Matthew Zinman is a television writer/producer who moved out to California after graduating from Syracuse University. He worked as a production assistant on numerous cancelled shows before landing a gig as the showrunners’ assistant at How I Met Your Mother during season three. By season five he was promoted to the writing staff where he rose to the rank of co-producer by the end of the show’s run. That same year, he and his writing partner, Craig Gerard sold a pilot to NBC entitled, “Season Tickets” about a group of die hard baseball fans that are close as family because they sit together at every Kansas City Royals game. He most recently was a writer/producer on NBC’s A to Z.
