TV I: AN INTRO TV WRITING WORKSHOP

You dream of writing a killer pilot that launches you a staff job on Game Of Thrones. Or maybe you want to turn your life story into an Emmy award-winning HBO series. If so, veteran screenwriter and TV writer Steven Peros can help. He’s written for one of the first AMC Series and has sold pilots to MTV and NBC-Universal. In this five-week TV Writing Workshop, Steven will help you on your great TV idea and how to turn it into a terrific script. He will teach you about structure, outlining and the intersection of character & conflict.

 

He’ll also cover the difference between single and multi-cam, cable and network, comedy and dramas. Steven will also share his secrets for breaking into the business, selling shows in the room, and avoiding the rookie mistakes. By the end of the class, you’ll understand the fundamentals of TV writing, honed your pilot’s premise, tone, themes, characters, world and even written a pilot episode beat sheet.

PAYMENT PLANS: A payment plan for this class is 5 weekly payments of $112.60. All payment plans include an additional $50 admin fee and a small credit card processing fee which is built into each weekly payment. Your card will automatically be charged 5 times every week until your class is paid off. At minimum, you must pay for each class meeting before it meets. Once you sign up for a payment plan, you are responsible for paying in full regardless of your class attendance. Rejected payment transactions are subject to an additional $25 fee. CANCELLATION POLICY: All sales are final and there are no refunds. Credit may be offered based on class availability. If you can’t come to class, call or email us as far in advance as possible. We will do everything we can to fill your spot, but we can’t make any guarantees. Credit eligibility is not based upon your reason for being unable to attend a class; it is based upon the timing of your credit request and our ability to fill your spot. If we find someone to take your place, you will receive class credit minus a $25 processing fee for 1 day classes and $50 processing fee for long classes. Otherwise, your payment will be forfeit. If the class is being paid for as part of a payment plan, regardless of whether the student stops attending class, the payment plan must be paid in full by the end of the class.
