In this intensive one-day solo show workshop, writer/performer Lauren Weedman (HBO’s Looking, Master of Sex, Hung) will show you how to make your solo-show so hysterical and deeply moving, the audience will be putty in your hands. In this class, you’ll learn how to transform personal events into compelling tales, craft vivid characters that only you can play, and organize a story that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. You will learn how to make your show theatrical, use music the right way, up the stakes and craft a marketable show that audiences and bookers will love.


Lauren will also help you pull your show together with a compelling theme that will pack the house. Through fun, in-class writing exercises and balanced workshopping, you’ll build a treasure chest of images, moments, characters, and music that will provide the essential elements for your show. It really won’t be long until an audience is laughing, crying and shouting, “Bravo”!

CANCELLATION POLICY: All sales are final and there are no refunds. Credit may be offered based on class availability. If you can’t come to class, call or email us as far in advance as possible. We will do everything we can to fill your spot, but we can’t make any guarantees. Credit eligibility is not based upon your reason for being unable to attend a class; it is based upon the timing of your credit request and our ability to fill your spot. If we find someone to take your place, you will receive class credit minus a $10 processing fee. Otherwise, your payment will be forfeit. PAYMENT PLANS: A payment plan for this class is 4 weekly payments of $60.00. All payment plans include an additional $40 admin fee and a small credit card processing fee which is built into each weekly payment. Your card will automatically be charged 5 times every week until your class is paid off. At minimum, you must pay for each class meeting before it meets. Once you sign up for a payment plan, you are responsible for paying in full regardless of your class attendance. Rejected payment transactions are subject to an additional $25 fee.
