THIS TUES. 5/26: HOLLYWOOD CAREER COACH

Screen Shot 2014-04-02 at 9.25.36 AMWant to score that staff writer gig on a top TV Show, work as a creative exec for a major studio, or get representation so you can sell some screenplays? If you’re not already connected, breaking into Hollywood is nearly impossible. Development Executive Nikki Levy (Imagine Entertainment) can help you ace that first interview for an assistant or staff writer gig, nail that “general” meeting with an agent, and hit the ground running. In this three-week Hollywood Career Workshop, she will help you gain an intimate understanding of how the entertainment business operates, how to present yourself like you’re ready to be hired, how to discuss your work, and get that first job. First, Nikki will help you custom create a plan for your path in. She’ll teach you essential insider lingo and help you avoid rookie mistakes. On the last class, she’ll also give you feedback on a short writing sample, resume, and cover letter. By the end of the class, you’ll have everything you need to take that first step toward success and avoid becoming a casualty of the boulevard of broken dreams. Red Carpet not included.
