Emerlynn Lampitoc joined Disney | ABC Television Group’s (DATG) Talent Development & Diversity team as Coordinator in 2008. Her innovative contributions led to her promotion to Manager, Creative Talent Development & Inclusion (CTDI). Lampitoc oversees staffing of writers and directors specifically for ABC Family and Disney Channel.
In 2010, Lampitoc launched the Creative Talent Development Networking Mixers which have evolved into must-attend events for up-and-coming writers, directors, actors, executives, agents and managers throughout the entertainment industry. Additional responsibilities include leading the Disney │ABC Writers Assistant Initiative and DATG’s participation in the National Latino Media Council/National Hispanic Media Coalition’s (NLMC/NHMC) Writing Program. With a background in publicity and marketing, her duties also include the department’s branding and communications, plus maintaining CTDI’s website and social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
Prior to joining DATG, Lampitoc served as Director of Television for an independent production company where she developed and produced unscripted programming. She has also worked in drama development at both 20th Century Fox Television and Paramount Network Television.
Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and a minor in Creative Writing from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA.
