Craig Gerard grew up in Long Island, New York and attended Syracuse University where he graduated with a degree in Television, Radio and Film. He started as the writer’s production assistant for the first season of How I Met Your Mother and was able to rise through the ranks, becoming a member of the writing staff for the second half of the show’s nine-season run. He and his writing partner, Matthew Zinman sold a pilot entitled Season Tickets in 2013 that centered on a group of Kansas City Royals die-hard baseball fans. This was before the Royals had their Cinderella season and he hopes NBC is kicking themselves for not picking it up. He is currently serving as a writer and producer on the NBC show, A to Z.
