THIS WED. 6/3: STORYTELLING

cole_kazdinWant to tell powerful true stories without schmaltz to a packed audience of adoring fans? Let essayist and three time Moth Grand Slam Winner Cole Kazdin share her tips for turning heartbreak, humiliation, and tragedy into a riveting five-minute piece that is the perfect mix of vulnerability and comedic vavoom. In this five week storytelling workshop, you’ll learn how to find what’s funny in your foibles, structure a compelling story and connect solidly with your audience. You’ll get targeted feedback on your draft to help you polish up your diddies for submission. By the end of the class, you’ll have written a polished essay that’s ready to submit to storytelling shows like The Moth and Risk! You will even perform your essay at a show!
