April Harris is a writer and performer who is also a member of the United States Armed Forces.

     
 

About Heather Leigh Pasternak:
Heather Leigh Pasternak is a writer and performer. She is currently a member of City Garage Theatre Company, where she most recently appeared in Neil LaBute’s re-worked first play, "Filthy Talk for Troubled Times". She has appeared in many New York productions such as Florence in "The Curious Savage", Celia in "As You Like It", Woman in "Afraid. Yes. Of.", Juanita in her self scripted piece, "Where is Barbie’s Vagina?" She also appeared with Performa and the Moma as Tart in "Pablo Picasso’s Desire Caught by the Tale".

     
 

About Julie Evan Smith:
Julie Evan Smith is an actress with extensive experience Off-Broadway, at regional theatres around the country (including San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, Dallas Theatre Center, Actors Theatre of Louisville), appearances on TV and short films.

     
 

About Karen Aschenbach:
Karen Aschenbach is a writer, director, actor, and producer. Her background includes theatrical work in New York, Connecticut, and LA and short films and independent features. Her work has been seen around the globe on television and in festivals from Japan to Croatia and throughout the U.S.

     
 

About Kristin Miles Palmer:
Kristin Miles Palmer has been performing improv comedy for many years in the LA area with her troupe Sticky Nights at venues such as Upright Citizens Brigade, Improv Olympic, and NoHo's "The HaHa". She has also co-produced and written a series of comedy sketches set for release in Spring 2012, two of which can be seen now on Funny or Die.

     
 

About Michael Kass:
Michael Kass is a writer, storyteller and actor. His writing has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, the blogs Fierce and Nerdy and Thought Catalog. As an actor, he has worked with the Tony Award Winning Lookingglass Theater Company in Chicago, Son of Semele Ensemble and Los Angeles Contemporary Dance among others. His storytelling has been seen at The Moth GrandSlam, Taboo Tales shows and others as well as the Storyworthy and I Love a Good Story podcasts.

     

 

About Ann Randolph:
Ann Randolph is an award-winning writer/performer. Her Ovation Award winning solo show, “Squeeze Box” was produced Off Broadway by Mel Brooks and the late Anne Bancroft and also won "Best Solo Show of 2002" from the LA Weekly. She won “Best Solo Performer 2011” from the LA Times and “Best Solo Performer in San Francisco 2010” from the San Francisco Examiner for her current solo show, “Loveland”. Her solo show, “Miss America” also won “Best Solo Show of 1998” by the LA Weekly. Her personal essays have been featured on NPR, BBC, and PBS. In addition to writing for the stage, Ann has been hired by Brooksfilms (Mel Brooks’s Production Company) to create an original movie based on her play, “Squeeze Box”. She has also created original programming for Gullane Pictures, PAX, Lifetime, and Klasky Csupo. She was a member of the Groundlings and Unsafe Sketch receiving LA Weekly’s “Best Female Comedy Performer” award. She teaches and tours throughout the United States.

  About Bob Gale:

  Bob Gale is a Screenwriter-Producer-Director, best

  known as co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of

  "Back to the Future" and its sequels. He has written

  over 30 screenplays and his other film credits

  include "1941," "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," "Used

  Cars," and "Interstate 60," the latter which he

  directed. In addition to writing movies, Gale has

  written comic books including Spider-Man and Batman, and has also served

  as an Expert Witness in over a dozen plagiarism cases. He holds a BA in

  Cinema from USC.

 

  About Tom McNulty:

  Tom McNulty is the President of Production at

  Global Produce, a new production company housed

  at Universal Studios. Prior to his new venture, Tom

  produced and oversaw production on numerous

  projects at various studios, most notably

  "Neighborhood Watch" (in pre-production, starring

  Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill), "Night At

  The Museum," "Night At The Museum; Battle Of The Smithsonian," "Cheaper

  By The Dozen 2," "What Happens In Vegas," "The Rocker," and "Date

  Night."

  About Ron Koertge:

  Ron Koertge writes fiction for Young Adults and poetry

  for everybody. He won multiple ALA awards for YA fiction.

  He also received the P.E.N. prize for his book Stoner and

  Spaz, a N.E.A. fellowship for poetry, and his poetry has

  been included twice in The Best American Poetry. His

  latest YA is "Stoner and Spaz II" (Candlewick Press). His

  latest books of poetry are "Fever" (Red Hen Press) and "Indigo" (Red Hen Press).

 

  About Jessica Brody:

  In four short years , Jessica has sold five novels (two

  adult novels to St. Martin's Press and three young

  adult novels to Farrar, Straus, Giroux.) "The Fidelity

  Files," "Love Under Cover," and "The Karma Club,"

  Jessica's debut young adult novel released in April of

  2010 with her next YA release, "My Life Undecided"

  slated for June 2011.  She recently sold five more young adult titles to her publisher, Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. "52 Reasons to Hate My Father" (which was recently optioned for film) will be out in Spring 2012 and "Unremembered," (also optioned for film), the first book in a new sci-fi series, will be released in Fall 2012.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Smith College.

 

  About Derek Taylor Kent:

  Derek has a three book deal with Harper Collins for a

  series of comedic children’s novels entitled "Scary

  School," scheduled for release this June and in 2012

  and 2013. His other children’s book series, Rudy and

  The Beast, was recently optioned by renowned

  producer Colin Callendar. Derek also wrote the feature

  comedy script Cupids which is currently under option at Liberty Films. He wrote a musical-comedy called "King Kalimari: The Musical," which had a sold-out run in 2007 and garnered rave reviews and the short musical film "Rock Obama: The Barack Obama Musical" which was a hit at film festivals and is featured in a documentary about the Barack Obama campaign. Derek also recently wrapped shooting a comedic web pilot for Comedy Central premiering in February 2010. Derek has taught writing and drama throughout Los Angeles. He holds a BA in Writing and Theater from UCLA School and is a graduate of the writing program at Second City.

About Monica Holloway:
Monica Holloway is the critically acclaimed author of the memoirs, "Cowboy and Wills" and "Driving With Dead People," described by Newsweek as “unforgettable,” Glamour christened “a classic,” and the Washington Post deemed “irresistible.” She contributed to the anthology Mommy Wars, from which her essay “Red Boots and Cole Haans” was described by Newsday as “brilliant, grimly hilarious.”


 

About Heather Havrilesky:
Heather Havrilesky is the author of the memoir "Disaster Preparedness" (Riverhead, 2011) which was praised for its "humane sagacity" in Publishers Weekly and its "uniquely endearing voice -- always witty, often self-deprecating" in the Paris Review.  She is a regular contributor to the NY Times Magazine, was Salon.com's TV critic, and co-created the popular cartoon "Filler" for suck.com. Her writing has appeared in the LA Times, the NY Times, Bookforum, Spin, The Awl, New York Magazine, NPR's "All Things Considered," among others.

     


 

About Meghan Daum:
Meghan Daum has been an opinion columnist at The Los Angeles Times since 2005. Her latest book, "Life Would Be Perfect I Lived In That House," was published by Knopf in 2010 and is now out in paperback. She is also the author of the essay collection "My Misspent Youth," the novel "The Quality of Life Report," and her essays and articles have appeared in numerous magazines, including The New Yorker, Harper's, and Vogue.
